‘Deus Ex: Human Revolution’ Boss Fights Were Outsourced

Montreal-based G.R.I.P Entertainment has admitted to developing the boss fights in “Deus Ex: Human Revolution”, widely criticized for being shallow compared to the rest of the game.

Outsourcing pieces of content to other developers is nothing new, but Eidos Montreal’s decision may not have been the most prudent.

Reviewers and fans alike criticized the encounters, complaining they felt out of sync with the rest of the game.

In total, the game features four boss fights, excluding persuasion encounters.

G.R.I.P. is a software developer, specializing in video game technologies. Games that have been involved with the developer include:

— “Project Offset” (canceled)

— “Army of Two: The 40th Day”

— “Tron Evolution”

— “Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad”
