Jamie Foxx’s “Thunder Soul” Tells Story Of Kashmere H.S.

“Thunder Soul” follows the true story of Conrad Johnson and The Kashmere Stage Band who, during the early 1970s, broke through the color barrier and transformed a struggling high school band into a worldwide powerhouse.

Presented and produced by Jamie Foxx, the film has already won numerous awards around the country at the South By Southwest Film Festival, Los Angeles Film Festival, Aspen Film Festival and more!

BackstageOL’s Dave Morales got a chance to talk to “Thunder Soul” director Mark Landsman, Music Director Craig Baldwin and flautist Gaila Mitchell on Fox 26 Morning News about Jamie Foxx’s involvement and how “Prof” Conrad Johnson influenced their life.

“Thunder Soul” opens in theaters September 23rd.
