Groupon, usually known for their discounted gift certificates, is moving into the world of record sales by offering David Gray’s new album “Lost and Found – Live in Dublin 2011” for $6 as a digital download (a $12.99 value). Although you must be a Groupon subscriber to recieve the deal, Groupon allows you to download a free track from the album before purchasing.
Gray is best known for his multi-platinum breakthrough album White Ladder, that he self-financed and recorded in his London apartment. White Ladder would go on to sell over 7 million albums worldwide and peak at #1 on the UK Albums Chart.
According to Groupon.com, the twelve-song download includes the hits “Lately”, “Sail Away”, “Fugitive”, and “Kathleen” from the Grammy-nominated singer. There has not been a published track listing on Groupon.com or David Gray’s website, therefore you may be suprised at what you get.
A physical version of the album is not expected to be released until later this year.
