Our friends over at Fox 26 in Houston give us a tip on an upcoming tour that may be coming to a town near you. Here is what they had to say:
HOUSTON – 1980s teen music rivals Debbie Gibson and Tiffany, who faced off against one another in the made-for-television movie “Mega Python Vs. Gatoroid,” will be touring several U.S. cities during the summer of 2011.
Gibson made the announcement Tuesday morning on “Access Hollywood Live.” She appeared on the show as a guest co-host with Billy Bush on vacation.
The ‘A Journey Through the ’80s’ tour featuring Gibson and Tiffany is already scheduled in six cities beginning at the end of July and continuing into August.
Gibson and Tiffany will make a special appearance together to promote the tour July 29 on “Good Morning America.” The tour begins that evening in Westbury, N.Y.
Other tour dates include:
July 31 at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, N.J.
Aug. 7 at the North Shore Music Theater in Beverly, Mass.
Aug. 10 at the House of Blues in Cleveland, Ohio
Aug. 12 at Harrah’s in Council Bluffs, Iowa
Aug. 13 at the House of Blues in Chicago
In preparation for the tour, Gibson announced that she is searching for a female guitarist to join her on the road .
Gibson posted the following message Wednesday on her Twitter account:

Tiffany released her country music CD “Rose Tattoo” in March.
Both Gibson and Tiffany also have the distinct shared experience of posing in Playboy Magazine.
