A new teaser trailer for Damien Chazelle’s musical La La Land, starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, has been released.
The new clip gives viewers a glimpse of the love story between a jazz musician (Gosling) and an aspiring actress (Stone) living in Los Angeles. Throughout the trailer, Stone sings the tune “Audition,” one of the musical’s original tracks.
“She captured a feeling, sky with no ceiling, the sunset inside a frame,” Stone’s character sings. “Here’s to the ones who dream, foolish as they may seem. Here’s to the hearts that ache, here’s to the mess we make.”
La La Land, which also stars Finn Wittrock, John Legend, J.K. Simmons and Rosemarie DeWitt, opens in limited release on December 2nd (nationwide December 16th). It will premiere August 31st at the Venice Film Festival.
