Last week, a few photos from the upcoming live action remake of Beauty and the Beast were posted online, and now Disney has released a sneak peek at the blossoming romance between Belle (Emma Watson) and the Beast (Dan Stevens).
The teaser shows shots of the castle, the grand ballroom, and the rose, followed by a clip of the table read for the film which features a flirtatious exchange between Watson and Stevens.
“I was so excited to hear that Disney was thinking about doing a live-action version of Beauty and the Beast,” director Bill Condon remarks in the clip. “When something is so perfect, why get near it? And the answer is technology has caught up to the ideas that were introduced in that movie.”
The teaser is a preview for a bonus feature that will appear on the 25th anniversary edition of 1991’s animated Beauty and the Beast that is set to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on September 20th.
The film also stars Ewan McGregor, Luke Evans, Ian McKellen, Stanley Tucci, Emma Thompson, Kevin Kline, and Josh Gad.
Beauty and the Beast will hit theaters March 17, 2017. Watch the sneak peek below:
