Winehouse and Bennett recording "Body and Soul"
The final recording by the late Amy Winehouse “Body and Soul”, a duet with Tony Bennett, was released this morning on MTV and VH1.
To commemorate what would have been her 28th birthday, her father, Mitch Winehouse has launched the The Amy Winehouse Foundation. The foundation’s goal is to support charitable activities in both the UK and abroad that provide help, support or care for young people, especially those who are in need by reason of ill health, disability, financial disadvantage or addiction.
Tony Bennett said of Winehouse, “Recording with Amy was just so beautiful, and I knew after singing with her what a true artistic genius she was because she performed with total and complete honesty — that is a very rare quality”.
Proceeds from “Body and Soul” will go to benefit The Amy Winehouse Foundation.
