Flavor Flav was arrested on Wednesday in Las Vegas on felony assault with a deadly weapon and battery-domestic violence charges after arguing with his fiancee and threatening to go after her son with a knife, according to the Las Vegas Police Department.
According to LVPD officer Bill Cassell, William Jonathan Drayton Jr. aka. Flavor Flav was arrested at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at a home several miles southwest from the Las Vegas strip. No one was reportedly injured at the scene.
Flavor Flav faces up to six years in prison for the felony assault with a deadly weapon charge and an additional six months in county jail for the battery-domestic violence charge. Drayton is currently being held on a $23,000 bail at Clark County jail pending Thursday’s initial court appearance.
This is not the first time Drayton had issues with the law regarding weapon and battery charges. In 1991 he spent a month in jail after assaulting his then girlfriend and spent three months in prison after shooting his neighbor back in 1993.
