2015 Grammy Awards Nominations Announced

Pharrell Williams and Ed Sheeran appeared on “CBS This Morning” to announce the nominations for some of the major categories for the 2015 Grammy Awards. The rest of the nominees were announced throughout the day on Twitter.

With today’s announcement, Beyoncé has officially become the most nominated woman in Grammy history with a total of 51 nominations, surpassing Dolly Parton’s record of 46.

The late Joan Rivers received a posthumous nomination for Best Spoken Word album for “Diary of a Mad Diva.” Rivers previously won a Grammy for Best Comedy Album back in 1984.

Many artists received their first-ever Grammy nominations today, including Miley Cyrus, Iggy Azalea and Megan Trainor. Newcomer Sam Smith received five nominations, including Best New Artist.
