Update (09/17/13): On Tuesday morning, Britney Spears announced that she will be releasing a new album on December 3 before heading to Las Vegas for her Planet Hollywood residency that begins on December 27.
“I love Vegas,” Spears said on GMA. “The energy here is really, really good. I’m definitely going to do the greatest hits, but I’m going to have to put some of my new material into it just to keep it fresh.”
Her new single “Work Bitch” and the ballad “Perfume” are expected to both be featured on the album. According to Spears, you can expect to hear songs dealing with her break-up with former agent/fiancé Jason Trawick.

This winter Britney Spears is packing her bags for Vegas!
Spears has a contract for a 2-year residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Details in her contract call for 48 shows a year at Planet Hollywood, where she will be earning $310,000 per show. According to the TMZ, Spears will be earning about $15 million per year, and projected sales for each show are estimated at $508,514.
Spears will be earning more than 60 percent of revenue in her contract, but she won’t be taking the Vegas Headliner spot from Celine Dion just yet. According to sources, Celine Dion does 70 shows a year and ranks in about $476,000 a show, a lot more than what Britney has in her Vegas contract.
Today she released her new single titled “Work Bitch”. Spears tweeted this morning that she will be attending the iHeartRadio Music Festival this weekend in Las Vegas. “PS – @iHeartRadio Fest, I will see u Saturday! Looks like I’ll be spending a lot of time in Vegas this week… ;)”
She also mentioned on Twitter that she will be revealing some big news tomorrow morning!
