In an interview with Rolling Stone, Fleetwood Mac guitarist and singer Lindsey Buckingham said that the band “will be doing something for sure” in 2012.   Details have yet to be announced as to whether that means they are releasing an album and/or going on tour.

It has been a busy year though for Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, both touring on their own solo albums.

Stevie released her seventh studio album, In Your Dreams, on May 3rd with many critics hailing the album “the best yet” by Nicks.

Lindsey will be releasing his seventh album as well.

Entitled Seeds We Sow, the album will be released on September 6th and  features the track “She Smiled Sweetly”, written by the Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards and Mick Jagger.

There are also rumors that Lindsey and Stevie will release their LP Buckingham Nicks on cd.  The album, originally released in 1973, would include the songs “Long Distance Winner” and “Stephanie”.
