Houston native and former Disney star Hilary Duff is back on the music scene with the release of her two new singles “Chasing The Sun” and “All About You”.
Duff released “Chasing The Sun” in late July and debuted her music video for it about two weeks ago which already has over 17 million views on Youtube. “All About You” is her latest single off of her upcoming fifth studio album which will be released sometime in the fall, but no official release date has been confirmed.
It has been seven years since Duff has released new music, but in a interview Duff said she has been working on the new album since she was pregnant with her first son Luca, who is now 2-years old.
“The album is very positive, it’s very up, but it does talk about… there’s a song called ‘If I Fall,’ which is about me taking a step back and kind of shutting down my whole business, and everyone not believing in me and me being really scared to be alone after I’d been surrounded by 100 people for five years of my life,” says Duff.
Duff recorded a song with Ed Sheeran for her upcoming album. She mentioned some of her songs will be about her son Luca and her estranged husband, Mike Comrie, but adds her personal songs have “a happy spirit to it”.
