JOURNALISM INTERNSHIP

Duties and Responsibilities

• Research and publish a minimum of four articles per week on the latest entertainment news in music, television, movies, pop culture and more.
• Have the ability to conduct interviews over the phone with high profile celebrities
• Promote articles via social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+, etc.)
• Work in cooperation with editors and journalists

Skills & Knowledge

• Proficient with MS Office. HTML and WordPress a plus.
• Working knowledge of social media platforms
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong ability to proof-read
• Able to plan, organize and manage their time efficiently
• Able to write on a strict deadline

PROMOTIONS INTERNSHIP

Duties and Responsibilites

• Implement grassroots marketing campaigns through social media and live events
• Host contest promotions at various remote events around the city of Houston
• Distribute promotional material at live events
• Develop and grow social media databases

Skills & Knowledge

• Proficient with MS Office
• Have excellent verbal communication skills
• Able to talk to and entertain a crowd of 300-3,000 people
• Able to keep a schedule and stay on-time (Lombardi time)
