Interview: American Idol’s Skylar Laine Sent Home

After the top five “American Idol” finalists competed, only four singers remained.

Singers Hollie Cavanagh and Skylar Laine were in the bottom two, but in the end, Laine gathered the least amount of votes from the public.

Laine’s departure leaves Joshua Ledet, from Westlake, La., and Cavanagh, 18, from McKinney, Texas, as the two remaining finalists who originally auditioned for the competition in Galveston.

As the finalists waited to learn who would be eliminated, they and the audience were treated to guest performances by “American Idol” winner Carrie Underwood and British band Coldplay.

Laine shared her experiences and future plans during an interview with Dave Morales from Backstage OL and FOX 26 Morning News anchor Kristine Galvan in this edition of ‘Idol Chatter.’
