In a conference on Monday, Netflix announced premiere dates for some of its new and returning programs.
The Crown
Netflix’s most expensive drama and its first drama to be filmed in the U.K. will arrive on Netflix on November 4th. Its first season will consist of ten episodes. The Crown, which is based on the play The Audience, stars Wolf Hall’s Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II and Doctor Who’s Matt Smith as Prince Philip. The cast also includes John Lithgow as Winston Churchill, Vanessa Kirby as Elizabeth’s sister Princess Margaret, Victoria Hamilton as the Queen Mother, Jared Harris as King George VI, and Dame Eileen Atkins as Queen Mary.
Netflix released the following plot synopsis:
A Netflix original series, The Crown focuses on Queen Elizabeth II as a 25-year-old newlywed faced with the daunting prospect of leading the world’s most famous monarchy while forging a relationship with legendary Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill. Marco Polo
Season 2 of Marco Polo will debut on Netflix on July 1st and will have ten episodes. The series will continue to focus on Marco Polo’s adventures in Kublai Khan’s court in 13th Century China. The cast includes Lorenzo Richelmy (Marco Polo), Benedict Wong (Kublai Khan), Joan Chen (Empress Chabi), Zhu Zhu (Kokachin), Tom Wu (Hundred Eyes), Olivia Cheng (Mei Lin), Claudia Kim (Khutulun), Rick Yune (Kaidu), Remy Hii (Prince Jingim), Mahesh Jadu (Ahmad), and Uli Latukefu (Byamba).

Marseille
The eight-episode first season of Marseille, the streaming service’s first non-English series, with hit Netflix on May 5. The series stars Gérard Depardieu, Benoît Magimel, Géraldine Pailhas, Nadia Farès, Stéphane Caillard, Jean-René Privat, Guillaume Arnault, Hedi Bouchenafa, Carolina Jurczak and Nassim Si Ahmed.
