Oh snap! Raven Baxter is returning to Disney.

Raven-Symoné To Star In Disney’s ‘That’s So Raven’ Spinoff

Disney Channel’s That’s So Raven is coming back with a new spin-off series – and will star Raven-Symoné herself!

Symoné will be leaving The View this December to reprise her role as the lovable psychic Raven Baxter, which ran on Disney from 2003 to 2007.

When she announced her departure on the ABC talk show on Thursday (October 27th), she said: “I’m excited and sad, but mostly excited. I have an announcement to make. No, I’m not pregnant… We’re doing a That So Raven II — with no real title. There’s no title yet. I’m very excited.”

The currently untitled series, which is still in early development, will feature both “new and familiar” characters. Symoné will star as a divorced mother to her two pre-teen kids, one of whom has inherited Raven’s ability to see the future.

“Raven’s brilliant style of fearless comedy was a driving force for Disney Channel’s success around the world,” Disney Channel executive vice president Adam Bonnet said in a statement. “Her performance in That’s So Raven is timeless. We now have our eyes on the future with her, and we’re looking forward to telling more stories for a new generation with an adult Raven Baxter raising her young family.”

Writing and producing partners Scott Thomas and Jed Elinoff will develop the spin-off – with Symoné on board as executive-producer.
