Stephen Colbert, the future host of the Late Show, took over a public access show in Monroe, Michigan called Only in Monroe this week and interviewed Eminem.

Colbert first interviewed two Monroe residents before introducing Eminem by saying, “My next guest is a local Michigander, who’s making a name for himself in the competitive world of music. Please welcome, Marshall Mathers.”

The interview begins with Colbert testing Eminem’s Bob Seger knowledge. The two go on to discuss his hoodie, the meaning of “feat.” on a rap song, the upcoming Southpaw film, which features one of Eminem’s songs,  and more.

At the end of the show, Colbert tells Eminem that they do not have time for him to perform. The show concludes with the rapper assisting Colbert in announcing local events during the “Community Calendar” segment.
