George Lucas is now engaged to his longtime girlfriend Mellody Hobson.
A spokesperson for Lucasfilm confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that Lucas (68) is now engaged to DreamWorks Animation chairman Mellody Hobson (43). When not working at DreamWorks, Hobson heads one of the largest investment management firms in the U.S.
This will be Hobson’s first marriage and Lucas’ second. He was previously married to Marcias Lucas from 1969-1983.
The couple has not yet announced when they will be getting married. They have been dating since 2006.
