“The Dark Knight Rises”..Starring The Pittsburgh Steelers?

Talk about a supporting cast. While filming for the latest in the Batman movie series, Ben Roethlisberger and his teammates have been recruited as extras.

The movie has been shooting in Pittsburgh and, as a result, has exposed some behind the scenes photo opportunities. To see those pictures click here.

It all stems from Thomas Tull, who is one of the Steeler’s owners and executive producing “The Dark Knight Rises”.

Roethlisberger is also appearing in the film with fellow players Troy Polamalu, James Farrior and Hines Ward.

“I’m kind of getting everybody together,” the quarterback told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “I heard it’s going to be a neat thing at the stadium. I don’t think it will be a big part, it’s not like we’re chasing Batman down or anything.”
