Netflix to Offer Video Game Rentals through Qwikster


As Netflix begins cleaving its online streaming and mail order shipping business in two, the seed of video game rentals has grown.

Gamefly has remained the most prominently featured option for those wishing to rent games from their comfort of their home, but now Netflix wishes to get their share of the game rental pie.

The newly-rebranded Qwikster service will offer the traditional DVD, Blu-Ray and video game rentals via mail.

The price has yet to be worked out, but those who opt for game rentals will incur a higher subscription fee.

There’s no word on when the service will launch, but Netflix says, “Soon.”
