Street Fighter 6 Officially Announced

The Capcom countdown timer has ended and finally revealed its secret, Street Fighter 6. This will be the newest numbered entry in the series since Street Fighter 5 was released in 2016.

Capcom says that more information about Street Fighter 6 will be available this summer. No consoles or release date was announced for this newest entry in the series.

The quick teaser trailer revealed a shirtless Ryu about to face off against Luke. Luke was the last character added to the Street Fighter 5 roster.

The announcement comes as no surprise to fans of the series as 2022 marks the 35th anniversary of the beloved fighting game franchise.

Capcom also announced Capcom Fighting Collection, a collection of 10 classic fighting titles including two Darkstalkers games never before released in North America.

The full list includes:

  • Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
  • Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge
  • Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire
  • Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers’ Revenge (First official North American release)
  • Vampire Savior 2: The Lard of Vampire (First official North American release)
  • Red Earth
  • Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness
  • Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
  • Hyper Street Fighter II

Capcom Fighting Collection releases on June 24 for Playstation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
