Wii’s Price Drops to $130

As we’ve noticed in this trendy technology era, when something new is about to hit the market all of a sudden prices drop on the current product (phones, games, movies).

The Wii was a huge success for Nintendo when it debuted back in 2006 selling more 95 million Wii consoles since its launch. With the holidays around the corner, Nintendo will release a new video game console next month. With that said Nintendo’s Wii drops its price to $129.99. The new $130 bundle featuring a Wii console in black and copies of Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort will be available starting on October 28.

“Nearly six years after it launched, people are still attracted to the pure, inclusive fun of the Wii console,” said Scott Moffitt (executive vice president of marketing at Nintendo of America).

The new console coming out next month called Wii U, will feature Gamepad controller resembling a tablet, high-definition graphics and built-in Nintendo TVii service. Wii U will be available November 18 in two varieties: an 8 GB white model ($299.99) with GamePad, AC adapter, HDMI cable and sensor bar; and a 32 GB version in black that adds a charging cradle, stand and copy of NintendoLand.
