Clint Eastwood Talks THE MULE With His Cast (Dianne Wiest, Alison Eastwood, Taissa Farmiga)

Eastwood plays a solitary man who becomes a mule for the Sinaloa drug cartel.

Cinema legend Clint Eastwood returns to the director chair and screen for The Mule, a film inspired by a senior citizen drug bust in Michigan.

The Mule was inspired by a 2014 article in The New York Times Magazine by Sam Dolnick, “There’s a True Story Behind ‘The Mule’: The Sinaloa Cartel’s 90-Year-Old Drug Mule.” The mule was Leo Sharp, a World War II veteran and great-grandfather.

Watch our backstage interview with Dave Morales who talks to the stars – Dianne Wiest, Alison Eastwood (Eastwood’s daughter), and Taissa Farmiga!

The film’s synopsis:

Broke, alone and facing foreclosure on his business, Earl Stone takes a job as a drug courier for a Mexican cartel. His immediate success leads to easy money and a larger shipment that soon draws the attention of hard-charging DEA agent Colin Bates. When Earl’s past mistakes start to weigh heavily on his conscience, he must decide whether to right those wrongs before law enforcement and cartel thugs catch up to him.

The Mule hits theaters on December 14th. Check out the full interview below!
