KAJILLIONAIRE: Backstage Interview with Evan Rachel Wood & Filmmaker Miranda July

“Parenthood involves mistakes. Learning from those mistakes is what makes you a better parent.” Evan Rachel Wood

The life of a con-artist is a very difficult one. Often times there is no room left for emotion or contemplation of consequences. There is simply, the next score. The next big break. The last thing on their minds would be children, much less raising them properly. What happens when con-artists use their own child for one big heist?

Kajillionaire is a movie that focuses on family. A dysfunctional one. A family of thieves whose years of scheming may have finally caught up to them. Director Miranda July uses this story as the backdrop to weave a dark comedy about the highs and lows of raising children in an unsafe world. Debra Winger, Richard Jenkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Gina Rodriguez and more star in this original dark comedy that asks the question, what would we do for our children?

Better yet, what would we do to our children for our own benefit?

Kajillionaire opens in theaters on Friday, September 25th via Focus Features.
