Fashion Designer Julia Haart Talks Netflix Series ‘My Unorthodox Life’

Fashion designer Julia Haart shares her story from Soviet immigrant to media mogul in her new series ‘My Unorthodox Life’ now streaming on Netflix.

Fashion mogul Julia Haart talks about her new Netflix series My Unorthodox Life

Fashion designer Julia Haart sat down with Dave Morales to talk about her new Netflix series that follows her life as CEO after she left her Orthodox lifestyle in Russia.

In My Unorthodox Life, Haart reveals how the events of fleeing a strict Orthodox Jewish community led up to her success of becoming CEO of the largest conglomerate of model agencies in the world, Elite World Group.

The designer shares her life motto “get comfortable with being uncomfortable”. She explains how viewers will come to better understand that later in the show.

Evidently, the reality series will unfold the journey of her past while giving insight into the world of her fashion empire. Haart intimately shares how she started her journey at a young age in Texas after her family was traded for grain by the Soviet Union.

“From the time I was five to eleven, the state of Texas adopted us and took us in. That’s where I started my journey in America, it was in Texas,” she emphasizes with a smile.

She expresses the willingness her family and coworkers had when asked to participate. Haart continues to tell Morales that everyone is on board to share their lives on screen.

While being an inspiration herself, Haart hopes the show will inspire others, “I think so many people feel trapped. So many people have been told they’re less than or they can’t do something,” Julia told Dave Morales. “I would love if someone will watch this show and say hey if this crazy lady can do it at 43, I can do it too.”

Haart concludes the interview with valuable advice to those chasing a dream, “Don’t ask permission. Don’t wait, get up and do it,” she adds.

My Unorthodox Life is now streaming on Netflix.
