What Would Jeff Goldblum Name His Pet Dinosaur

Jurassic World: Dominion roars its way to theaters on June 9. BackstageOL’s own Dave Morales had the pleasure of speaking with legendary Ian Malcolm himself, Jeff Goldblum.

Back in the Saddle

Goldblum said stepping back into the role of Ian Malcolm was “Delightful, like jumping into a warm pool…it delicious. Then you go into the jacuzzi part and it’s even warmer and pretty soon you get woozy and you have to get out or you faint…that was everything in this movie.”

Morales tells Goldblum that out of all of his castmates, Goldblum is the only one that he could picture having a pet dinosaur. Then, the legendary actor gets asked what would he name his pet dinosaur and Goldblum replies “Lucy or Lucille…because B.B. King called his guitar Lucille and I played with him believe it or not in a video for the movie Into The Night.”

During the interview, Goldblum reveals that he was able to keep his characters watch from the film. Just like he kept a watch from the first Jurassic Park. The watch has Ian Malcolm’s initials on it as well as a Jurassic Park logo.

Closing out the interview, the actor was asked “Why do you love acting so much?” Goldblum stated that “I like playing and I like pretending…that’s it…what’s more fun than that.”
