Will Poulter On Difficulty Of Playing An Evil Racist In ‘Detroit’

Detroit hits theaters August 4th.

BackstageOL’s Dave Morales sat down with actor Will Poulter in this backstage interview to talk about Kathryn Bigelow’s 1967 riot film, Detroit.

In the interview, Poulter explained what it was like to portray a racist police officer in the true story film, saying while it was “daunting” he wanted to do “justice to the character.” Poulter hopes Detroit will impact social change.

Police and the military spring into action when rioting and civil unrest rocks Detroit during the summer of 1967.
