Zoey Deutch Says ‘Before I Fall’ Is A Story Of Self-Discovery For All Ages

Before I Fall reminds audiences of the important things in life.

BackstageOL’s Dave Morales sat down with Zoey Deutch in this backstage interview to talk about her upcoming role as Samantha Kingston in Before I Fall, a film based on Lauren Oliver’s young adult novel.

In the interview, the duo discussed the powerful message throughout the film, with Deutch illustrating that Before I Fall is “a movie about discovering who you want to be.”

She continued, “There’s no right time, or place, or age, or gender, or whatever to do that. This is a movie about questioning mortality and appreciating the people that love you and are good to you, and not taking things for granted.”

Synopsis:

In BEFORE I FALL, Samantha Kingston is a young woman who has it all: the crush-worthy boyfriend, amazing best friends and drop dead gorgeous looks. February 12 is just another charmed day in Sam’s life until it turns out to be her last. Stuck reliving her last day during one inexplicable week, Sam untangles the mystery surrounding her death and discovers the true value of everything she is in danger of losing.

Before I Fall hits theaters this Friday, March 3rd. Check out the full interview with Deutch below:
