E.L James’ ‘Grey’ Skyrockets to Top of Best Sellers List

What started out as fan fiction grew into a fan frenzy. The bestselling author E.L. James of the steamy- romance trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker, and Fifty Shades Freed is adding a new book to the series entitled Grey.

Demand for an additional book to the trilogy was so high that E.L. James was almost forced by fans to write a version of the story through the dark and mysterious mind of principal character Christian Grey. In the first four days Grey sold over 1 million copies, not including those that had been sold out on Amazon’s pre-order. The craze for an additional book has been so great that fans have created a series of YouTube videos that try to capture what the novel and Christian’s mind entails.

Although not all critics share in the fans delight of Grey. The Daily Mail slammed the book and criticized the novel for “telling the exact same story.” E.L James doesn’t seem to mind the reviews though because she chooses not to read them.

There is currently no word on any more Fifty Shades of Grey books or additional movies that haven’t already been announced.
