Director Adam McKay’s newest feature dropped a new teaser trailer Wednesday morning, offering a clearer look at the film’s star-studded cast.

Don’t Look Up is a satire about the end of the world. More specifically, about two low-level astronomers (Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio) who attempt to warn the world about the impending devastation of a comet on a crash course for Earth. The problem? No one will take them seriously. Or more rather, no one cares.

The film recently had a roughly 30-second teaser spot during this year’s Summer Olympics. It focused on the film’s two leads and supporting actors Jonah Hill and Meryl Streep. The footage this time around boasts more of its ensemble, including Rob Morgan, Tyler Perry, Cate Blanchett, Timothée Chalamet, Mark Rylance, Scott “Kid Cudi” Miscudi and Arian Grande. There are still others who have not made it into any preview footage like Ron Perlman, Himesh Patel, Melanie Lynskey, Michael Chiklis and Tomer Sisley.

The Netflix original marks a return for several of the players involved. This is DiCaprio’s first feature film since 2019’s Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood, and will be only the third film the actor has done in the last six years. It will also be Lawrence’s first film since being part of 2019’s Dark Phoenix.

The film is based on a story written by McKay and David Sirota. McKay makes his return to the satirical ring after his biopic Vice about former Vice-President Dick Chaney debuted in 2018.

Don’t Look Up is scheduled for a two-week theater run on December 10 before going to streaming.
