The star of The Fifty Shades of Grey film franchise, Jamie Dornan, is said to be in final talks to star in Lionsgate’s Robin Hood: Origins.

Playing the title character — the British archer-thief who stole from the rich and gave to the poor — is Taron Egerton. Jamie Foxx is on board to play a “battle-hardened but war-weary” Little John, with Eve Hewson as Maid Marian.

Dornan will join the Merry Men crew as Will Scarlett, who is married to Marian in director Otto Bathurst’s film.

The actor can soon be seen in Fifty Shades Darker, which recently released its first masquerade-themed trailer.

The last film created about Robin Hood was Universal’s Robin Hood in 2010. Directed by Ridley Scott, the film starred Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett and William Hurt, and grossed $321 million worldwide.

Robin Hood: Origins does not currently have a release date.
