First Look: Disney & Marvel’s ‘Big Hero 6’

The trailer for Disney & Marvel’s first animated feature film Big Hero 6 releases on Thursday, May 22. Big Hero 6 is an action comedy about a 13-year-old robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who forms his own group of diverse superheroes to save his hometown of San Fransokyo.

Hiro’s greatest invention and BFF Baymax is a robot and his Protector. In the images below, see how Hiro turns Baymax from a marshmallow-looking blob into a super robot.

The other four members of Big Hero 6 are comic book fanboy Fredzilla, who can turn himself into the Godzilla-like form; bike messenger Go Go Tomago, who can transform into a ball of energy; barista Honey Lemon, who has access to other dimensions; and sushi chef Wasabi No Ginger, who can generate knives with his energy.

TJ Miller, Jamie Chung and Maya Rudolph voice some of the characters in the movie based off the Marvel comics of the same name. Don Hall and Chris Williams have directed the film, with Hall and Jordan Roberts writing the comic book based-script.

Big Hero 6 hits theaters on November 7.
