After months of speculation, Disney announced on Tuesday that Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher will reunite for the upcoming seventh installment in the Star Wars franchise.  Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker will return as the androids C3P0 and R2-D2, while Peter Mayhew will reprise the role of Chewbacca.

“We are so excited to finally share the cast of ‘Star Wars: Episode VII,'” director J.J. Abrams said. “It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.”

Newcomers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson and Hollywood veteran Max von Sydow will star in the film as well.  Their roles have yet to be officially announced.

Star Wars: Episode VII is scheduled to open in theaters on December 18, 2015.
