Open Road Films will release JOBS, starring Ashton Kutcher, on August 16th nationwide. The film was originally scheduled for release on April 19 but was pushed back for marketing reasons.

Apple lovers and moviegoers will now get a chance to watch this highly anticipated film portraying Steve Jobs’ path from college dropout to one of the most cherished entrepreneurs of the 20th century.

Sundance Film Festival showed the movie in January but received mixed reviews and the accuracy was questioned by co-founder, Steve Wozniak.

JOBS shows the major events, defining career, and influential people that helped mold the Apple leader’s life, beginning from 1971 up through 2001. This will be the first major movie focused on the Apple co-founder, who died in late 2011 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

JOBS stars Ashton Kutcher, Dermot Mulroney, Josh Gad, Lukas Haas, J.K. Simmons and Matthew Modine.  The film was directed by Joshua Michael Stern and written by Matthew Whiteley.
