Kristen Bell Leaves Voicemail as ‘Frozen’ Character for Girl With Cancer

Kristen Bell reprised her role as Princess Anna from Disney’s Frozen to make a phone call to a young girl with a brain tumor.

Six-year-old Avery Huffman was recently diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a cancerous brain tumor that is inoperable. Like most young girls, Huffman is a big fan of the film Frozen. When Bell heard about Huffman’s story, Bell left the girl a voicemail as Princess Anna of Arendelle, Huffman’s favorite character from the film.

Bell tells the girl that since she’s been a “good girl” and “so brave,” Queen Elsa decided to make her an honorary princess. She concluded her message saying she had to “go build a snowman with [her] friend Olaf.”

Huffman’s father posted video of his daughter’s reaction to the voicemail on YouTube, which has since received over one million views. Her parents have been sharing her story on CaringBridge and on Twitter with the hashtag #AveryStrong.
