‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ Wraps Filming with Massive Party

After shooting began back in May, production for Star Wars: Episode VII finally wrapped last week at Pinewood Studios in the U.K.. The film’s cast and crew decided to celebrate the occasion by holding a party at London’s Science Museum. Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher were in attendance, as well as Andy Serkis, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, and director J.J. Abrams.

The film’s producers gave all of the attendees “VII” baseball caps and a note that read:

It is a true honor and absolute joy to come to set every day and work alongside each of you. Your professionalism, passion and patience is more deeply appreciated than we could ever express.From the deserts of Abu Dhabi, to the Forest of Dean, to the stages of Pinewood, you have risen to every challenge and been as wonderfully kind as you are brilliantly talented. The film now heads into post-production. It is slated to hit theaters December 18, 2015.
