The Scoop on James Cameron’s Plans After ‘Avatar’ Sequels

After a gigantic win at the box office with Avatar, James Cameron’s trilogy is currently in pre-production for Avatar 2 & Avatar 3.   Cameron also mentioned that a fourth installment to the trilogy might not be far-fetched; exploring the early bringing of life to Pandora.

So what about James Cameron’s plans after his Avatar bender?  Recently, Cameron and Lightstorm Entertainment have acquired the rights to the book “The Informationist” by Taylor Stevens.  James Cameron has reported that he will direct and co-produce the adaptation of the book with Jon Landau soon after the last installment of the Avatar films is finished.

Vanessa Munroe, the heroine of “The Informationist”, has been compared to the likeness of Stieg Larsson’s heroine, Lisbeth Salander (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo).  The heroine’s specialty is that in which the title suggests; obtaining information which is vital to nations, corporate entities and anyone who can afford her services.

Can James Cameron’s portrayal of Vanessa Munroe meet or cross the bar of success set by Stieg Larsson?  I guess we as an audience can only wait patiently in our seats for the answer.  Plus, watching the arrival of Avatar 2 and Avatar 3 won’t make it such a difficult task.
