Watch ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Teaser Trailer

The action-packed trailer for Marvel and Disney’s Avengers: Age of Ultron was unexpectedly released Wednesday night (October 22nd), six nights earlier than expected.

The teaser was planned to debut during next Tuesday’s broadcast of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD on ABC, however, Hydra decided to leak the clip much sooner. Marvel posted on their Twitter account to acknowledge the leak and state their disapproval.

Shortly after, they officially premiered the teaser in HD on their verified YouTube account, along with sharing the official teaser poster. The image is of a large mechanized “A,” outlined by red light against a black background. Within the letter is the engraved phrase “ASSEMBLE 2015.”

The first Avengers film is ranked as the third highest-grossing film ever after earning $1.5 billion in 2012.

Directed and written by Joss Whedon, the superhero sequel will feature original cast members Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth. In addition, newcomers Aaron Johnson (Quicksilver) and Elizabeth Olsen (The Scarlett Witch) will be starring in the action film.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be released in theaters May 1, 2015. Check out the trailer below, which includes scenes with the villainous Ultron (James Spader)!
