Ariana Grande Tops Social 50 For First Time

Ariana Grande has finally topped Billboard’s Social 50 chart after being on the chart for the past 103 weeks.

The Social 50 chart is determined by various metrics across multiple sites, including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Vevo, Soundcloud, Wikipedia, Myspace, and Instagram. Popular artists are ranked by how many friends/fans/followers they gain each week, how many page views they receive, the number of song plays, and the reactions to their songs, which are measured by music analytics company Next Big Sound.

Grande’s latest single “Love Me Harder,” featuring The Weeknd, certainly helped push her to No. 1 on the chart this week. Many of her fans have been tweeting about the song’s music video, which premiered Nov. 3. In addition, over 1.3 million people liked the singer’s photo of her and her boyfriend Big Sean on Instagram.
