Beyonce Is Forbes’ Highest Paid Woman In Music

Forbes magazine announced on Tuesday that Beyonce is the highest paid woman in music from June 2013 to June 2014.

The megastar earned an estimated $115 million this year, more than double of what she pulled in last year. Queen Bey’s earnings came from her surprise self-titled album, her hit world tour “On The Run” with husband and fellow performer Jay Z, and her various endorsement deals from companies like H&M and Pepsi.

“Beyonce played 95 shows during our scoring period,” stated Forbes, “bringing in an average of $2.4 million per city.”

Once placing at No. 4 with $53 million, the “Flawless” entertainer has soared to the top spot, passing pop star Taylor Swift who now resides at No. 2 with $64 million in earnings. Last years highest paid woman was Madonna; however, this year the Queen of Pop failed to make it into the top 10.

The rest of the top five out of the ten on the list of highest paying women include: Pink at No. 3 with $52 million, Rihanna at No. 4 with $48 million, and Katy Perry at No. 5 with $40 million.

Even with her massive success, Beyonce isn’t slowing down quite yet. The singer recently announced that she would be releasing a platinum version of her album later this month, which will include new songs and a concert video.
