Cher Tops Dance Club Chart with Single “Woman’s World”

Pop icon Cher continues to have chart success with her latest single “Woman’s World” gloriously sitting at the top of the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart. The dance anthem quickly turned into another Cher hit after its limited June 18 release.

Following preceding singles “Believe” (1998), “Strong Enough” (1999), “All or Nothing” (1999), “A Song For The Lonely” (2002), “A Different Kind of Love Song” (2002), “When The Money’s Gone” (2003) and “You Haven’t Seen The Last of Me” (2010), “Woman’s World” is Cher’s eighth number one hit on the Dance Club Chart.

“Woman’s World” is the lead single off of Cher’s forthcoming twenty-sixth studio album Closer to the Truth scheduled to release September 24. It’s the 67-year-old singer’s first full-length album with new material in 11 years.

“I actually did a couple of different things in this album,” Cher told USA Today. “I ventured into places I haven’t gone and I really enjoyed that,” she said. “I kind of took some chances in this album and then when they turned out to be good, I was really happy.”

Cher’s Closer To The Truth album is available for pre-order on iTunes.
