A Louisiana court has upheld the murder conviction of C-Murder, whose real name is Corey Miller, for the 2002 killing of a sixteen year old fan in a Jefferson Parish nightclub.

The 40-year old rapper was trying to appeal his 2009 conviction due to claims the judge allowed prosecutors to share “prejudicial and unsubstantiated” testimony with the jurors.  Miller also claims that the prosecutors “systematically eliminated black people from the jury.”

A three-judge panel from the state’s 5th Circuit Court of Appeal rejected Miller’s claims and appeal.

C-Murder will serve his life-sentence at the Louisiana State Penitentiary in West Feliciana Parish.
