Ed Sheeran Shares New Song “Friends”

Ed Sheeran has unleashed a brand-new song titled “Friends,” and it’s completely irresistible. With nothing but his acoustic guitar, the “X” singer pours out about a friends-with-benefits relationship he’s struggling to keep under wraps but also wanting to take to the next level.

“We’re not friends, we could be anything/ If we tried to keep those secrets safe/ No one will find out if it all went wrong/ They’ll never know what we’ve been through,” the flame-haired singer croons on the track.

Listen to Ed sing about the tough spot between love and friendship in “Friends” below.

The recently-released “Friends” isn’t featured on Sheeran’s upcoming album Multiply, it sadly didn’t make the cut, but the heart-warming ballad is included as a bonus track on Ed’s Sing EP and apparently its also available when you purchase the hit single “Sing” on iTunes.

Following his debut, +, which was released back in 2011, Ed Sheeran’s sophomore album Multiply will be available worldwide on June 23. The upcoming release features Ed’s hit “Sing,” which currently sits in the No. 13 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
