Lady Gaga Will Become First Artist to Perform in Outer Space

Lady Gaga is making plans to blast off into space, but first she’s got to buy a MAJOR life insurance policy.

Movies like The 5th Element and Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century made pop star performances in outer space a fantasy, but Mother Monster is making it a reality.

Lady Gaga is planning to go to infinity and beyond, literally, into outer space in early 2015 on board Virgin Galactic.  She will perform just one song during the Zero G Colony music festival at Spaceport America in New Mexico. English billionaire Sir Richard Branson owns Virgin Galactic, the world’s first commercial passenger spaceliner, that Gaga will be taking to outer space.

The pop star will be the first person to perform in space at this historic event that will help promote space travel for Virgin. As Gaga prepares for her venture, she must first take out a ridiculous life insurance policy as a precaution. Gaga is currently undergoing heavy vocal training due to the change in atmospheric conditions during her flight, but Gaga says she’ll be ready to perform by the 2015 launch date.

The size of the insurance policy has not been released but is expected to be in the tens of millions of dollars.

Pop singers Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Lance Bass have all signed up to ride Branson’s Virgin Galactic spaceliner as well.  Tickets for the ride into outer space are currently on sale for $250,000.
