Lamb Of God Singer Released From Czech Prison

Lamb of God singer Randy Blythe has been released on bail and is returning to the United States. He was taken into custody in Prague, Czech Republic five weeks ago.

He was arrested on June 27 at an airport in Prague in connection with the 2010 death of a fan at one of the band’s shows. Czech authorities in Czech claim he shoved a fan off the stage at a 2010 Lamb of God concert at Prague’s Club Abaton. The injured fan reportedly went into a coma from his injuries and died 14 days later from a brain hemorrhage.

In an interview in mid-July, Blythe said he knew nothing about any “sort of incident that allegedly took place during the concert” and remembered “very few details” about the show.

After the incident Lamb of God cancelled their summer co-headline tour with Dethklok.

With Blythe out of jail, the band will play Knotfest on August 17 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Somerset, Wisconsin on August 18.  Lamb of God are looking forward to tour in the U.S. in October and should announce cities and dates soon.
