Lily Allen Announces North American Tour

Lily Allen announced on Monday that she will be touring North America starting this autumn on September 9th in Miami, Florida and wrapping it up in Los Angeles, California on October 10th.

The British singer will be in the U.S. appearing on the Today show and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this week, and performing in New York City on May 15th.

When asked by Cosmopolitan about the reasoning behind her album’s name, Sheezus, she said, “Because Kanye West, who I’m a massive fan of, had an album called Yeezus. I respect him for many different reasons, not just his music but also as a personality.”

“What makes him Yeezus to me is that he is always open, honest, true to his word, and doesn’t give a hmm-mmm what anybody thinks,” she said. “If that makes him Yeezus, then I sure as hell will be Sheezus.”

Allen posted on her Instagram account a photo she managed to get of herself and her idol Yeezus, a.k.a Kanye West, at the Met Ball this past week.

Tickets for the 19-date tour go on sale May 16th, with the exception of the Los Angeles show, which is on sale May 15th.
