Mariah Carey Preps for Las Vegas Residency

The iconic and five-time Grammy Award winning singer Mariah Carey is headed to Las Vegas!

Mariah Carey announced on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that she will be doing her first Las Vegas residency at the Caesars Palace. The “We Belong Together” singer is currently signed on for eleven performances at Caesars Palace beginning on May 6, 2015.

Mariah’s show at The Colosseum will be called “Mariah Carey #1’s” which will feature her performing all 18 of her timeless and beloved No. 1 hits together. The show will be inspired by her original compilation album called Number 1’s, released in 1998, but will also include four brand new songs making it a total of 18 No.1 hits for her residency.

“Hopefully other people will enjoy this. I’ve never done this before ” Carey said about her Las Vegas residency. She even admitted that she is surprised to be performing certain songs for her residency. “Some of these songs I’m like, ‘Really? I’m gonna do this again? OK,” said Carey.

Tickets for “Mariah Carey #1’s” are now on sale for the upcoming performances at Caesars Palace:
