Oasis’ Feuding Gallagher Brothers To Share Concert In Japan

Liam and Noel Gallagher will perform at Fuji Rock Festival in Japan this weekend.

The Gallagher brothers haven’t been on speaking terms since their acrimonious Oasis split three years ago before a Paris concert in 2009, but they will share the bill at this weekends Fuji Rock Festival at the Naeba Ski Resort just outside of Tokyo.

The three day festival will be expecting more than 125,000 people to attend and the event has sold out its 3-day passes for the first time in their 15 year history.  “Liam and Noel Gallagher both love Fuji so there were no problems getting them on the same bill,” said Johnnie Fingers, director of the Fuji Rock Festival. British rock group Radiohead boosted sales and will be the closing headliner of the festival.

Liam’s band Beady Eye will perform on Friday, and Noel’s band High Flying Birds will perform on Saturday. Other performances at the festival will include Justice, The Stone Roses, Elvis Costello and the Imposters,The Specials, James Blake and some local Japanese bands like Boom Boom Satellites and indie band Toe.

The Fuji Rock Festival runs from July 27th- July 29th.
