Terrorist Threaten Madonna’s Russian Concert

The U.S. Russian Embassy has received a threat that someone will attempt to harm spectators and performers at Madonna’s upcoming Russian concert.

The Embassy relayed the message to the U.S. Consulate General in St. Petersburg regarding threats of violence against those who attend.  The U.S. Embassy warned Americans “to remain vigilant regarding their personal security and to be aware of their surroundings at all times, especially in crowded areas.”

There is speculation that the terrorist threat is a response to Madonna’s outspoken support to free Russian band Pussy Riot from jail.  Madonna believes the group has been unfairly censored after releasing  a song of “religious hatred” against Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Madonna’s ‘MDNA’ show is expected to go on at the Peterburgsky SKK on Thursday, August 8th.
