2015 MLB All Star Starters Revealed: KC Royals vs. NL All Stars No More

The fear or joy (whichever way you want to see it) of seeing the Kansas City Royals take on the National League All Stars has been brought to a halt as the 86th MLB All Star Starters were revealed Sunday night.

While MLB created a way to let fans vote 35 times per day for their favorite players, it also meant giving them a chance to vote their whole team into the big game! No other MLB city took advantage of this opportunity as much as Kansas City. Take a look below.

Three weeks ago the All Star Game looked something like this:

As close as we were to seeing the Kansas City Royals (respectively the top team in the American League) take on the Natinal League All stars, only four Royals were selected in Catcher – Salvador Perez, Short Stop – Alcides Escobar,  and Outfielders – Lorenzo Cain and Alex Gordon.

This gave players, such as Outfielder – Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels and Second Baseman – Jose Altuve of the Houston Astros, the chance to represent their team in Cincinnati for the Midsummer Classic. Other players who made the cut for the American League include Third Baseman – Josh Donaldson of the Toronto Blue Jays, who brought in 14,090,188 votes and is the most votes in a single season in MLB history and First Baseman – Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers. For the National League we will see Catcher – Buster Posey of the San Francisco Giants, Outfielder – Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals, and Matt Holliday of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Yet there’s still hope to see other Royals make the team as the list of Pitchers and Reserves will be released tonight at 7PM ET on ESPN.

The 86th MLB All Star Game will air on FOX on July 14th 7PM ET!
